Location and Environment

The Wildlife Photography Course is hosted at the Galago Camp in the 9000 hectare Djuma Game Reserve, which is part of the well-known Sabi Sands Game Reserve, which itself borders the vast unfenced Kruger National Park.

Galago Camp, Djuma Game Reserve

The Galago Camp is a private camp with five colonian-style en-suite lodges, each with air-conditioning and ceiling fans. Galago has extensive views of the bushveld including scattered watering holes, which provide the perfect setting to practice your new found skills.

The 'Big Five' are regularly sighted at Djuma Game Reserve, which refers to the five most famous of the great African mammals: lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo. However, there is much more to the African savannah than the big five. All the plains mammals are to be found at Djuma Game Reserve, whose ecosystem is largely unaffected, plus more than three hundred species of birds.
