The Flight Centre has been offering flights for customers since 1981 and are ABTA, IATA and ATOL bonded. They are now one of the world's largest and most successful independent flight providers. They are independent which means that they are not affiliated to any airline, ensuring customers always get the best deal.

Amanzi Travel also holds a full ATOL licence (9401) and if customers choose to book their flights through Amanzi Travel they will be ATOL Protected. This means that in the unlikely event of our insolvency, the CAA will ensure that you are not stranded abroad and will arrange to refund any money you have paid to us for an advance booking. Amanzi Travel will organise everything for you and ensure you get your flight tickets and details well in advance of your trip. If you prefer to organise your own flights this is absolutely fine. Which ever option you choose Amanzi Travel will ensure that its representative is there to meet you at the airport when you arrive.

Amanzi Travel recommends that you book refundable and flexible flight tickets as many of our volunteers enjoy their time so much that they extend there placement! This also gives you options should you need to change your project dates for any reason

Travel Insurance

We believe that safety and enjoyment are equally important when travelling with Amanzi Travel. It is therefore one of our terms and conditions of booking that you have adequate travel insurance in place before you travel; cover must include emergency medical expenses, personal accident and repatriation. In addition, we strongly recommend that you include baggage, personal liability and cancellation cover.

Amanzi Travel has teamed up with Endsleigh Insurance Services Limited to offer our travellers a range of excellent policies to choose from. Each policy includes:

• overseas legal expenses
• cancellation or curtailment charges
• over 80 sports and activities covered as standard

NB It is advisable to take out your travel insurance at the time of booking your trip as cover will commence for pre-departure cancellation from the policy issue date. This will, therefore, provide cover should you have to cancel your trip for an insured reason such as illness or serious accident preventing you from travelling.
